A perfect pairing of yoga and barre. This is a fusion class with mixed elements of pilates, yoga and functional training. In each energizing and targeted workout, you’ll use the barre and exercise equipment, such as mini-balls and small hand weights to sculpt, slim and stretch your entire body. This class will start with a warm-up and sequence of upper body exercises, moving to the lower body and core. You will end the class with yoga which will increase flexibility, balance and leave you feeling rejuvenated and refreshed.
Burn & Build
Made up of athletic drills, short cardio bursts with lower body weight exercises and upper body strength training. These challenging and effective drills are performed back to back to give you a leaner, stronger body – quickly! This workout improves muscle shape and definition and elevates overall fitness goals.
In this class you will utilize heavier weights while doing quick burst of sports training techniques with emphasis on strengthening your core as well as full body tone. This workout will get you past your plateau and change your body! Cardio is provided through the use of weights, movement and the height of your step. The sequence keeps the heart rate up with breaks in between. A step, hand weights, resistance, tubing and discs will be used. This training is a short but very intense type of training workout that improves your aerobic capacity as well as your ability to burn fat long after you have finished your workout. Intermediate to Advance levels.
Yin/Yang Flow Yoga
A combination of Yin practice; which penetrates deep into connective tissue expanding your flexibility, eliminates energetic blockages, and Yang practice; which is a more traditional pose practice that develops muscular strength, stamina and flexibility. For active older adults and others who are looking for a modified Zumba class that recreates the orignial moves you love at a lower intensity. This cardio fitness dance party is set mostly to Latin rhythms. It is for anyone looking for a modified Zumba class at a lower intensity. Zumba Gold features easy to follow choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination.
The first 15 minutes of this class will be a cardio blast portion doing a variety of cardio drills to get your heart-rate up which will help burn more calories during your workout! The next 40 minutes you will be doing strength training exercises to build long, lean and defined muscles! Class will end with some good stretching.
